I've played in various rotisserie leagues (auction, redraft, and keeper) since 1991. Not currently playing anything as I am more interested in simulation and analysis. Along the way, I`ve learned how to handle MySQL, PERL, R, and can do just about anything with EXCEL.
Winning in fantasy is all about getting information and making the right decisions more often than you make the wrong ones - while realizing that sometimes you make the right move and it doesn`t work. In the long run, it`s way better to make the right move that doesn`t work, than to make the wrong move that does.
I can't say enough good things about Retrosheet, Baseball-Reference, The Book, The Hardball Times, and Fangraphs (among others) for posting tons of information and ideas. Also, a big shout out to Joseph Adler for writing Baseball Hacks, and to Jim Albert and Max Marchi for writing Analyzing Baseball Data with R
